@HAGGAN.PAAD Imran Khan? Lol. Imran had plenty of injuries. He played as a batsman in a lot of games. Kapil and Botham were medium pacers.

This reasons will reduce fast bowler breed and eventually to become extinct.

Kapil Dev played 100 test match without any injury. SO did Imran Khan and Ian Botham. None of the west Indies fast bowler of the 70's and 80's missed any test because of injuries. This younger pizza and chocolate generation is fragile as a glass.

Thats barely a lot of injuries for a 150 km bowler. He is injured sometimes but some of those are ridicoulus. He has his share of injuries but not in way a lot

When he was rushed back for the series vs Australia I said to myself it's just a matter of time before he breaks down again. He held up surprisingly well. They were always going to lose to the proteas so after 2 nil he should have been rested. Also Aussies NVR needed him 2 play all those Odis and all 3 tests vs Pakistan.. but they sure will miss him in these 2 tests

fast bowling might be unnatural but so it was in the olden days, Trueman being case in point

Like a lot of sports at the top. You push your body to the limit just to get selected to represent your country. When your fit you play, when your body fails you rehabilitate. No one said professional sport was easy!

These are nothing. Lee and Shoaib went through tons of injuries. And my personal source of inspiration is Mashrafe Mortaza who had over 9 surgeries all over his legs, knees and feet. Fast bowlers do what our bodies aren't meant to do. It's torture! We hardly have any fast ones left and need to protect them!

australia should use him more wisely and stop playing him in dead rubbers test matches, bilingual ODI series .

  • Ashiqur Rahman on March 10, 2017, 21:49 GMT

He should only play in ODIs
